Solutions Architect / Sales Support

About the Role:

As a member of the GRM Digital Sales organization, the ECM Solutions Architect / Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical pre-sales support to the Digital Sales Team nationally, as well as function as a migration/ETL developer. This position requires a self-starter with a unique blend of proven consultative sales skills, presentation and demonstration skills, and technical knowledge based on previous experience. This highly visible position operates at both a strategic and tactical level with close daily alignment to Digital Sales Executives across the country. The successful candidate must have the unique combination of a sales mentality with a strong technical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Driving new business by supporting sales opportunities through presentations, product demos, and proposals.
  • Serve as a key technical resource to address product-related questions for product demonstration, RFPs, technical proposals, demos, product trials, and for needs analysis.
  • Conduct on-site and web-based software demonstrations and training courses as a subject matter expert for prospective clients and field sales.
  • Develop effective new business scripted demonstration materials that can be used by the Digital sales team.
  • Provide comprehensive technical and application support in person, on the telephone, on the web, and in email.
  • Assist the Digital sales team in responding to and providing technical guidance related to RFP/RFI responses.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be able to work with various source database formats, extract relevant data, transform data using MS SQL tools into standard import format for GRM's ECM (Enterprise Content Management) application.
  • Must be proficient in using MS SQL server to write queries to transform data into desired format.
  • Solid knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL scripting, VB.net, JavaScript, database modeling and configuration as well as Object Oriented Programming and business workflow modeling experience.
  • Possess a deep understanding of application servers, development methodologies, operating systems, technical platforms/architecture, and the application workflow lifecycle
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Strong presentation and training delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of document management or enterprise content management technologies.
  • Possess a deep understanding of application servers, development methodologies, operating systems, technical platforms/architecture, and the application workflow lifecycle.
  • Creative, solution oriented thinker with superior influencing, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively with multiple levels of management.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
  • A BS degree in computer science, engineering, or other technical field.
